Managing Director, Inline Strategy Ltd
Ask yourself these questions about your customers:
- What could they be giving us that is really valuable?
- Where and how in their journey could we partner with them for more value?
The modern salesperson isn’t a hunter or a farmer – they are an Ambassador that connects customers to our business to create mutually valuable results.
Sales is a whole company activity. Don’t be this guy!
"We have to think differently about how we work with our customers. We aren’t selling to them, we are partnering with them."
"Businesses that exist solely to serve their customers will be the first to go out of business."
Money is only one form of value we get from our customers.
Everyone in a business must be watching customers on their journey. They will be nurturing them and keeping them above the line and shouting out when it’s time to harvest.
NO MORE ROADKILL CUSTOMERS!
Visuals and interaction are the key pillars to making good content, according to Nick Mason, CEO and founder of Turtl.
Imagery speaks to our primitive brain, with up to 90% of brain power taken up by visual activity. It’s not uncommon for online content to be unbroken scrolling text, he said, but when done right, contextual images improve reader retention of content by 6.5 times.
Online articles with strong use of imagery get 94% more views, while being 43% more persuasive in their message.
Interactive content is 45% more effective. To actively engage readers, people need to experience a feeling of competence, that they understood something and are smart, said Nick. They also need to feel that the content relates to them and they have autonomy while not being dictated to. The perfect example of this is a quiz, which The New York Times found to be its most successful piece of content in years, explained Nick.
By combining visuals and interaction in your content, you can more than double your average read times and increase your reach by more than 50%.
The medium is the message – you don’t need to change your content, you just need to package it differently.

In this playful presentation the use of "Headless Ken and Barbie" represents the Execs not supporting digital transformation.
Marketing Executive, Bluesource
The right policies and procedures should be supported by the right technology.
Bluesource says that the road to success with GDPR readiness is twofold. People and Technology should come together to bolster your GDPR policy. Firstly, from a people perspective – who are the people in your organisation who collate information? Secondly, from a technology standpoint – what tools are you using to detect PII information your organisation holds?
100% confidence can only come from effective search compilation and data management. A manual and lengthy search process could put you in danger of a breach and a potential penalty.‘
The secret of getting ahead is getting started.
The Security Intelligence Company
The only way to stop a cyberattack is to detect the threat early
LogRhythm, a leading cyber security company, says speed is critical. Actionable insights obtained from a SIEM with next generation capabilities such as machine learning, behavioural analytics, and artificial intelligence will determine your team’s ability to detect and respond to cyberthreats quickly enough.
Selecting the right SIEM for your security operations centre (SOC) is critical. It has to meet your immediate needs and be able to scale for your future needs. It shouldn’t require costly integrations or customisations to reach your goals.
Discover how the LogRhythm platform can help your team rapidly detect and respond to cyberthreats at www.logrhythm.com.
Fuse people, process, and technology to create a highly effective SOC—even with limited resources. Make your security team more effective with automation, artificial intelligence, and scalable, unified technology.

According to Frost & Sullivan, “A well-designed SIEM will not only advance security objectives, it will also optimise security analysts’ time and talent and streamline workflow processes.”.
The right SIEM operates as your team’s central nervous system to alert and enact countermeasures when a threat is looming.
“I cannot emphasise to organisations on the importance of automating your security teams and increasing your security visibility. 2018 will see the rise of AI enabled attacks and without automation and visibility, organisations will simply be too slow to respond to the veracity of these new attack methods. No organisation is too small or too large to avoid what is to come, so buckle down and start to learn what is normal so you can spot the abnormal.”
LogRhythm is empowering organisations to detect, respond to, and investigate cyberthreats fast. LogRhythm’s platform unifies leading-edge data lake technology, artificial intelligence, security analytics, and security automation and orchestration in a single end-to-end solution. LogRhythm serves as the foundation for the AI-enabled security operations centre, helping customers secure their cloud, physical, and virtual infrastructures for both IT and OT environments. Among other accolades, LogRhythm is positioned as a Leader in Gartner’s SIEM Magic Quadrant.
